Reflective Piece
A NEW DAY HAS COME

Our fight, our constitution, our democracy is definitely one to
look out and one to learn from.
One question you can ask yourself is how a country chooses between
democracy and civil war. All colors of the Rainbow moved to accommodate and show
how negativity can be transformed into positive .
From what I have read about, heard and seen on archives I never
thought I would ever see the end of apartheid.
A season of hatred to another person, living, breathing and
sharing the same land.
The violence, the beating, the torture the killings all these are the
backbone of our free nation. One uncle said “Please God may I leave to see it
and if I don’t I see it now in the faces of our children.”
The right of people to control and even create and have nations
that reflect their own individual identity and expression.
If we teach people
to do that and at the same time trying to work out agreements without war,
hatred and violence with others. The world is going to be a lot better place to
live in and we're going to have a lot fewer conflicts.
The intelligence of someone is never and will never be defined by
being white, colored, black or Indian it’s all the same.
“Inde le Ndlela esihambayo” (Long walk to freedom) indeed it has
been a long walk an carries on to be, we haven’t achieved everything we need.
As much as our people have lived in a liberated country they are
still unemployed, uneducated and living in poor conditions.
Yes we have been released from jails, freed from torture but the
war isn’t over, it now leaves inside our hearts and we are denying each other
the wealth of the country .
